It’s important to remember that these are totally normal people, singly-focused on making sure students receive a quality education, and that teachers are supported. Surely that is what NEA President Becky Pringle means by “winning all the things”?
Here’s one of “the things” the NEA and its affiliate (in your state) have committed to winning.
The National Education Association passed a resolution during their annual Representative Assembly in Chicago that would allocate thousands of dollars to conduct opposition research on 25 organizations that are supposedly attacking gender identity and sexual orientation freedoms in public schools.
“NEA shall compile research to create fact sheets about the largest 25 organizations that are actively working to diminish a students’ right to honesty in education, freedom of sexual and gender identify, and teacher autonomy,” the resolution said…
If you question the NEA’s activism for LGBTQ issues in childrens’ classrooms, they will weaponize teacher dues to try and take you down. If you are a state lawmaker still carrying water for the teacher unions, this is what you are supporting. Political persecution of anyone who even questions their ability to push the most radical ideologies on school children. Is this really what the majority of parents – not to mention teachers – want? Of course not.
More to come on Ms. Pringle and the NEA’s plans for school choice programs near you.
